Unique Monique

Monique's Yellow Bamboo Notecard

Not only is her artwork stunningly beautiful (IMHO), but she creates it using a head wand and computer!  Monique Harris has cerebral palsy, but that hasn’t stopped her from obtaining an associates degree in business and running two businesses of her own–Monique’s Magnets (artwork) and Communications @ Ease (communication tools for people with speech impairments).  In fact it provides inspiration for some of her work.

Monique is having her first art exhibition and reception (Wednesday, December 7th  from 5:30 to 7:30 at The Shop at CIL, 2539 Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley) where she’ll be selling her matted art, poetry, magnets, greeting cards, and communication boards.  Come and meet this extraordinary artist, have a bit of wine and cheese, and pick up a few items for holiday gifts.
