SNAP/CalFresh Benefits
If you have been informed that you must meet SNAP/CalFresh work requirements, we may be able to help you. CTP is a workforce development program for people with disabilities. We work with the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) to provide services. Our training or internship program may help you meet benefits requirements while you are working toward future employment.
If you are already enrolled with the Department of Rehabilitation, contact us. You can apply for DOR at one of their offices. Please see the DOR website for details.
Federal Requirements Include
- Registering for work and taking a job if offered
- Not voluntarily quitting a job or reducing hours if working
- Participating in employment and training programs
CTP’s Program may meet the following requirements (please verify for your own case)
-
Studying in school or a training program at least half-time
-
Work at least 80 hours a month. Work can be for pay, for goods or services (for something other than money), unpaid, or as a volunteer
If you are in immediate need of food aid, the State of California maintains a list of food banks: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/food-banks
