Partners with CTP

Ed Roberts Campus is a nonprofit corporation formed by organizations that share a common history in the Independent Living Movement of People with Disabilities. These well respected organizations have joined together to plan and develop a universally designed, transit-oriented campus located at the Ashby BART Station in south Berkeley. The Ed Roberts Campus will become the world’s foremost disability rights service, advocacy, education, training and policy center.

Bay Area Outreach and Recreation Program (BORP)'s mission is to improve the health, empowerment and social integration of physically disabled people of all ages through participation in recreational, fitness and sports activities.

Founded in 1979 by people with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities, Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund carries out its civil rights mission through programs in training, education, research, local and national policy mentoring and development advocacy and litigation to serve its long term goal of the full integration of people with disabilities into the mainstream of American life.

Whirlwind Wheelchair International’s mission is to enable people with disabilities to create mobility equipment in a manner that enhances integration into their society. Twenty million disable people in developing countries need wheelchairs, but less than one percent own or have access to them. Using Whirlwind’s design and guidance, over 30 shops in 25 countries have begun producing whirlwind wheelchairs.
