Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation (MEAF)
(Funder)

The Computer Technologies Program's Mentorship Project for Youth is funded by a generous Starfish grant from the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation (MEAF). MEAF is a non-profit foundation jointly funded by the Mitsubishi Electric Corporation of Japan and its US affiliates with the mission of contributing to a better world for us all by helping young people with disabilities, through technology, to maximize their potential and participation in society.
MEAF also awarded a capacity-building grant that is funding a collaboration project called Tech Mentoring Coast to Coast between the Computer Technologies Program (CTP) and Partners for Youth with Disabilities (PYD) of Boston, MA. The grant will allow CTP and PYD to leverage our resources and expand the geographic impact of our projects by collaborating on our respective mentoring programs.

PartnersTM for Youth with Disabilities (PYD)
(Collaboration Partner)
Based in Boston, MA, PartnersTM for Youth with Disabilities (PYD) provides high quality one-to-one and group mentoring projects where adult mentors with disabilities act as positive role models and provide support, understanding and guidance for youth as they strive to reach their personal, educational and career goals. A MEAF grant also supports PYD in the development and dissemination of Partners On-Line, a nationwide computer-based mentoring program. In CTP's collaboration with PYD through Tech Mentoring Coast to Coast, PYD will be sharing its mentoring expertise with CTP staff and mentorship program participants, and CTP will consult with PYD as a potential regional site for its Partners On-Line project.
